So tired of players who ignore the turn order in cooperative games
We were three rounds into Pandemic Legacy last night at Mike's house, and one guy kept jumping in to take actions before his turn was called. He said he was just 'helping the team think ahead,' but it totally messes up the strategy when you don't know what the next player is going to draw. I've seen this happen in about 6 different game groups over the last 5 years, and it always ends with someone getting frustrated. Has anyone else found a polite way to shut this down without making it awkward?

Ran into this exact thing a few years back at a con, actually. There was this guy who kept reaching across the table to rearrange other people's cards during a game of Dead of Winter, saying he was 'maximizing efficiency.' I finally just put my hand over my cards and said, 'Hey, I gotta see what happens when the zombie horde shows up before I decide anything, you know?' It was awkward for maybe two seconds, but he backed off. Sometimes you just gotta physically block their hands and smile while you do it.

Used to think that was fine... this changed my mind though.

Respectfully, I see it different. Jumping ahead to talk strategy isn't the same as moving someone's pieces or ignoring the turn. A little chatter can help a team spot a bad move before someone wastes their turn.
