Have you actually gone to one recently? I went to a free "adult budgeting" workshop at my local library last month and it was a total joke. The presenter just read basic tips from a pamphlet you could get online. I left after twenty minutes because it felt like they just needed to fill the empty community room. Complete waste of an evening.
