My budget always failed because of unplanned snack stops.

I noticed that unplanned snack stops were breaking my budget. Now I budget for them, and I save more each month!

Totally get this. My gas station snack habit was murdering my wallet every week. Felt like I was always short for no clear reason. Started putting twenty bucks cash in my car just for those quick stops. Makes me stop and think before I grab a giant soda and a bag of chips. Now that money lasts way longer and my main budget stays solid.

My buddy kept blowing his budget on drive-thru coffees. He started setting aside a small weekly "treat" fund in a separate envelope. It gave him permission to spend it without guilt and stopped the bigger leaks.

I started keeping a box of granola bars in my glove box. It cuts out the gas station stop completely because the craving is already handled.
