Got uninvited from a friend's book club for saying the wrong thing

I told a buddy's book club that I thought the author's take on cancel culture was overblown, and the next day the host said my 'energy didn't fit the vibe.' Lost out on 3 weeks of discussions and free snacks over one opinion. Learned real quick that some groups just want echo chambers, not actual debate.

Did the host explain what about your 'energy' was the actual problem or just kick you out?

@jadej50 nah she just pointed at the door and said "this energy isn't welcome here." Real theatrical about it too. I was just tired and didn't laugh at her story about her cat. Guess that's a crime now. Three weeks of snacks down the drain.
