Fixed my phone's pay app so it doesn't broadcast my lunch spots anymore.

Honestly my bank's app did the same thing until last fall. I had to go into the app settings and find the privacy tab, then turn off location sharing for purchases. Ngl it was buried under like three menus. I closed and reopened the app right after and it finally stuck. Tbh it's a relief, I don't need my coworkers seeing every single coffee run.

Look into other apps that might track your purchases too. They often bury these settings on purpose.

Wait, but isn't that tracking kind of useful sometimes? I actually like when my apps show me where my money went. It helps me see my own spending habits. I get the privacy worry, but for me it's more helpful than scary. They just need to make the on/off switch easier to find for everyone.
