Tried a new drysuit zipper lube last week and almost got stuck on the surface

I used some cheap silicone spray instead of the usual wax-based stuff and the zipper seized up halfway during a dive in Puget Sound. Took me 20 minutes of wrestling to get it closed again. Anyone else had a zipper fail from using the wrong lube?

Oh man, I switched to wax lube and never had that issue again lol.

Wait, have you tried it in wet conditions though? Wax lube attracts dirt like crazy in my experience.

@leo_black76 is right on this, wax lube is way better than silicone for preventing seizure.
