Had to lift a generator onto a rooftop in Tacoma with a 20-ton crane and a tight swing.
The wind picked up right as I was setting it, and the load started to drift sideways. Ever had a gust mess with your precision like that?

Had my guy on the ground call out gusts before they hit, which saved our bacon. Maybe try that next time, @elliotm57, instead of just hoping for a steadier hand.

Wasn't there a study about wind shear being worse near rooftops? That drift gets scary fast.
