I keep seeing people say you need a huge budget for Facebook ads to work

My best performing ad this quarter only cost $15 a day and brought in over 80 leads... everyone focusing on spend is missing the targeting and creative part. Has anyone else had a small budget ad outperform a big one?

Seriously, is the budget even the main problem here? A good ad finds the right people, not just the most people. Maybe we're all overthinking this and just need to make stuff that doesn't look like an ad.

Honestly, the best ads feel like a friend telling you about something cool.

That friend vibe is great, but it can feel fake if it's just a trick. Riverdavis has a point about finding the right people, but even then the message has to be honest. If it feels like a friend's tip, but the product is bad, that trust is gone for good.
