I thought voice search SEO was just hype until a client's site blew up
A client in Austin runs a plumbing service and I was sure voice search was a waste of time. I added a simple FAQ page with natural language questions like 'who fixes a leaky faucet near me' and used a tool called AnswerThePublic to find phrases. Their calls from 'near me' searches went up 30% in two months. What's one digital marketing trend you thought was silly but actually worked?

People forget how many voice searches happen in the car... like someone driving who just noticed a weird noise asking for a mechanic. That changes the keywords a lot.

Ever think about how many people are doing voice search while cooking or fixing something with dirty hands? That's another huge use case for those natural language questions.

OH my god, you just reminded me of my Aunt Carol. She was trying to follow a recipe for meatloaf last Thanksgiving and had flour and raw egg ALL over her hands. So she yells at her phone "hey Siri how long do I bake meatloaf at 350?" and Siri was like "Playing 'Meat Loaf - I Would Do Anything For Love'" and she nearly threw her phone in the sink. We still bring it up every year. Voice search is GREAT until it's not, I guess. Now she just texts me recipes in advance.
