Caught a random YouTube video about coworking etiquette and it hit hard
I was watching some digital nomad vlog last night and this guy talked about how he books meeting rooms for 8 hours but only uses them for 2. At first I thought no big deal, but then he admitted he does it because he likes the quiet space. It made me realize I might be hogging resources too without thinking. Has anyone else caught themselves doing something in coworking spaces that maybe isn't cool?

People get way too wrapped up in what other people are doing in coworking spaces honestly. If the guy is paying for the room and the space allows it, who cares if he sits in there reading a book for six hours instead of taking calls. The front desk probably doesn't care as long as the money comes through and nobody is complaining. This whole "etiquette" thing gets blown out of proportion, like we're all supposed to be policing each other's productivity or something. Let the guy have his quiet room, there are bigger problems in the world than someone not using a conference table efficiently.

Wait, is he actually doing that though? Most coworking spaces I've been to charge by the hour for meeting rooms, or at least have a strict time limit... someone booking a room for 8 hours but only using it for 2 sounds like they'd get called out by the front desk pretty quick. I've seen places where they literally come knock on the door if you go over by like 5 minutes. Maybe the guy in the video was just exaggerating or talking about a place that has a flat monthly fee or something... still, it's a weird flex to brag about wasting company money like that.
