Still mad at myself for skipping the vocational expert testimony at my hearing
Found out from a disability forum that the VE blew my skill set way out of proportion and I could have challenged it, now I'm stuck waiting on an appeal.

Yeah I did the same thing at my hearing and it cost me months. What I learned after is you can request a copy of the VE's testimony from the court reporter or your lawyer if you had one. Look for specific job titles and numbers they claimed exist in the economy. If they said you can do something like "price marker" and you've never held a marker or stapler in your life that's an easy challenge. Most judges will let you submit a written objection within 10 days of getting the transcript so check your local rules before that window closes.

Depends on the judge, most just let the VE's word stand if you can't directly prove they lied.
