I dropped scented oils from my facial routine and the reactions were wild.

Totally get that! Tried a fancy cream that made me smell like a hotel lobby soap (not in a good way). Switched to unscented everything and life is simpler now.

Yeah that hotel soap vibe is a specific kind of regret. Bought a fancy cedar and moss candle once that just smelled like a wet hamster cage. Took weeks for that weird damp wood smell to leave the apartment. Unscented is definitely the way to go, no weird surprises. My nose is happier now but my wallet still misses that candle money.

Ugh, wet hamster cage is the perfect way to put it. I had a "clean linen" spray that just made my whole place smell like a sad basement. Never again, unscented for life.

Read that fake scents can really irritate your skin. Going plain is way better for me too.
