Why does nobody talk about the lighting in airport spas?
I had a long layover in Atlanta last week and went to one of those quick spas near the gates. The esthetician did a great facial, but the lighting was so harsh... like those bright white LEDs you see in old office buildings. She said it was airport policy for safety, but it made it hard for her to check for redness or fine lines. I felt bad because her skills were clearly good, but the setting worked against her. Has anyone else had to work in a space where the built-in lighting just kills the vibe and your ability to see detail?

My old dentist had these super blue overhead lights that made everyone look dead. It was impossible to tell if a color match for a filling was even close.

It's just a facial in an airport, not surgery. People get too hung up on mood lighting for a quick service. The bright lights are probably fine for the ten minutes you're in there.

Totally agree with wendy820. Roberts.leo's dentist story proves bright lights just ruin the vibe, even for ten minutes.
