Shoutout to the venue manager in Charleston who pointed out our centerpieces were blocking the fire exit

We were setting up for a 200-person wedding at the old cannery venue and had to redo 15 arrangements in 30 minutes because the aisle flowers were too wide, so what's your go-to trick for keeping large installs both full and compact?

My cousin's wedding in Savannah used those tall, skinny planters for the aisle. They looked full with just three stems each and took up no floor space. We zip-tied the stems together inside the vase so nothing flopped out.

Disagree completely, zip ties are a disaster waiting to happen. They cut into delicate stems if you pull them too tight and leave ugly marks. Those skinny vases tip over so easy, and a zip tie makes a rigid bunch that can't bend if it gets bumped, so the whole thing just topples. You're better off letting the stems support each other naturally.

Did your cousin have any trouble with the zip ties showing? My friend tried that trick but the clear ones still caught the light during her outdoor ceremony, looked a bit messy up close. She ended using those tiny rubber bands from broccoli bunches instead, hid them better.
