My 'no sugar added' jam hunt turned into a two hour grocery store trip
I wanted jam without a lot of sugar, so I grabbed a jar that said 'no sugar added' right on the front. Got home and the first ingredient was grape juice concentrate, which is basically just sugar with extra steps (and a fancy name). I had to go back and actually read every single label, which took forever. Has anyone found a jam that's actually honest about this stuff?

Try the freezer aisle for real fruit spreads. Those usually have way less junk in them.

Wait, @robertcarr, fruit spreads in the freezer aisle? I've never even looked there, lmao.

Yeah, the freezer aisle thing is a perfect example. I mean, it feels like the good, simple versions of stuff are always hidden in weird places now. You find the plain yogurt tucked behind the sugary ones, or the bread with just flour and water on a bottom shelf. It's like they make you hunt for the normal food.
