Pro tip: I finally stopped saying 'I'll send an invoice tomorrow'
Honestly, I used to let invoices pile up for weeks, but last month I started sending them the second the job was done. Ngl, my cash flow went from a trickle to actually getting paid in under 10 days. Anyone else have a small rule change that made a big difference?

Yeah that's a huge one. I mean, letting invoices sit is just asking for trouble. Good on you for fixing it.

Actually, I was the one who let them sit.

My buddy Matt had this problem bad with his landscaping business. He used to let invoices pile up for months and then wonder why cash flow was always tight. One time he forgot to bill a big client for almost a year and had to chase them for like 14k at once. It was super awkward and the client got annoyed even though they owed him money. He finally set up auto invoicing software after that mess and it changed everything for him. Now he sends bills the same day work is done and actually gets paid on time.
