Just saw a report that said 40% of new homes built in Phoenix this year have a dedicated 'work pod' instead of a home office.

My whole setup is on a TV tray in the bedroom. The pod idea is genius.

Ever worry about accidentally kicking the tray over in the middle of the night? That's my big fear with a bedroom setup lol. At least a pod seems more stable, but then you're stuck in one spot. I guess the real move is whatever keeps you from tripping on cords at 2am.

Saw a blog post about someone who bolted their TV tray legs to a cheap plywood base for extra stability. They added a little cable channel underneath too, which seems smart for avoiding that late-night trip hazard. It's a pretty simple hack if you're not ready to commit to a full pod setup.
