Saw my old job listed online last month asking for AI skills now
I worked at a small marketing agency in Austin until last year. I quit because I wanted something different. Last month I checked their job postings out of curiosity and saw my old position. The new listing asked for experience with AI content tools like Jasper and ChatGPT. That was never a thing when I worked there two years ago. Now they expect new hires to handle three times the workload with AI help. Has anyone else gone back to look at old job listings and noticed new AI requirements popping up?

Is it even the same job if they want you to replace two people now?

My advice is to casually start playing with those tools on your own time if you haven't already. A few hours messing around with ChatGPT or Jasper is enough to put it on a resume with confidence. The jobs aren't harder really, they just expect you to know the shortcuts now.

Yeah I read something the other day about how AI can spit out total nonsense that sounds right. Like someone said it made up fake court cases in a legal document once. So I agree with shane on that one, you gotta know what you're actually doing before you put it on a resume.

@the_christopher I get what you're saying but saying a few hours is enough to put it on a resume confidently is a stretch. You gotta at least know when it's hallucinating or giving bad code before you claim you're good with it.
