Spent 20 minutes trying to get water spots off my windshield before I remembered plain white vinegar works better than any spray I've bought at the store.

My neighbor came over and watched me scrubbing with a microfiber towel and said try vinegar and a newspaper, and after one pass the spots were gone so now I'm wondering what else I've been overpaying for at the auto parts store, anyone got a home brew recipe for wheel cleaner that actually works?

Dawn dish soap and a splash of white vinegar mixed in a spray bottle has been my go-to for wheels for years. Cuts through brake dust and road grime way better than the expensive stuff and costs pennies. Just don't let it dry on the paint or you're scrubbing all over again. Saved me a good chunk of change every season.

My buddy tried that and ended up with vinegar streaks all over his driveway...

Three gallons of undiluted white vinegar did the same thing to my neighbor's concrete pavers.
