How do you deal with people who give unsolicited tips while you're mid-repair?

Lock them up in a job box or use a heavy duty cable lock through the handles. I learned the hard way after a brand new cordless drill walked off a site. People will borrow anything not physically tied down, even if they have no idea how to use it right.

Yeah, the "borrow anything not tied down" part hits home. I'm probably the clueless person trying to use your drill wrong before it even gets stolen. Guess we both need locks for different reasons.

My old shop teacher always said to let people finish their own work. I just smile and nod until they leave.
