Found out The Wire only had 60 episodes total and that blew my mind

I was reading a breakdown on Reddit about episode counts for prestige TV and realized The Wire is only 60 episodes across 5 seasons, same as a lot of network shows get renewed for in like 2 years.

You mentioned they packed more into those 60 episodes than most shows do in a hundred, so what scene do you think wasted the least time?

Wait, for real? That's it? I swore that show had way more episodes because it felt like you were watching an entire city for years. Sixty episodes is like two seasons of some network procedurals, but The Wire packed more story and character into those than most shows do in a hundred. Makes you realize how much they squeezed out of every single scene if that's all they got.
