I bought a cheap miter saw stand thinking I'd save cash, big mistake
Grabbed a $90 stand online because my old one broke and I needed something fast for a deck job. The legs wobbled so bad I couldn't get a straight cut, wasted half a day trying to shim it with scrap wood. Ended up having to run to the store and buy a proper $250 stand anyway, so I was out the $90 plus my time. Anyone have a solid budget stand they actually trust?
My brother did the exact same thing with a folding work table last year. He was building a shed and the whole thing nearly tipped over with his circular saw on it. Sometimes the cheap stuff just costs you more in the end when you factor in the hassle. I get trying to save money on a tool you don't use every day, but the stand is what makes the tool work right. It's a lesson you only need to learn once.
