Warning: I thought paying my $2,500 balance down slowly was smart, but then I saw the interest total after 18 months.

I compared that slow drip to just cutting my spending and throwing every extra $200 at it, which cleared it in under a year and saved me almost $400 in fees, so has anyone else found a specific spending cut that made a huge dent?

Tbh $400 in fees is crazy to just let slide. Cutting out takeout coffee was my version of that extra $200.

$400 is basically a new console, @robertcarr.

Hold up, are we really comparing cutting coffee to a surprise $400 fee? That's a whole different level of pain, @robertcarr. Skipping a latte saves you five bucks, not hundreds. A fee that big usually means someone messed up or the system is broken. How does anyone even let a charge get that high without saying something?
