For a solid year, I thought the 'cool' setting on my high frequency wand was just for show. A new person at the spa last month saw me using it and said, 'Wow, you really like the zappy feeling, huh?' Turns out I never plugged in the ground cord.

Honestly, it took me way too long to figure that out. I spent years just dealing with the hum and acting like it was normal, like some weird badge of honor. I mean, I was basically using my guitar as a fancy radio antenna to pick up every buzz in the house. Felt like a real genius when I finally plugged that cord in and the noise just stopped.
