PSA: My truck's alternator died halfway through a 10-horse day in Laramie last week

Honestly, had to call a buddy to bring his rig and finish the last three trims in a borrowed apron. Anyone got a reliable mechanic in Wyoming they'd trust with a work truck?

Try Cheyenne Auto Tech, they saved my rig last winter.

Exactly. That's how you find the good ones. It's never the shops with the flashy ads, it's always the place someone trusted with their own truck when it really mattered. A personal recommendation after a real problem is worth more than all the five star reviews online. You find a mechanic that way and you stick with them for life.

I used to chase online reviews but a breakdown like that changed my mind.

Exactly. That's how you find the good ones" really hit home for me. I used to think online reviews were the only way to go, but after getting burned twice by highly rated shops that couldn't fix a simple coolant leak, I realized a neighbor's word carries a lot more weight. Now I just ask around at the feed store or jobsite, and it's saved me a lot of headaches.
