Question about switching from a local wholesaler to a national delivery service

I had to pick between sticking with my local supplier or signing up with a big delivery network for a wedding order in May, and the local guy's roses arrived wilted. Anyone else get burned by a trusted source this season?

Totally feel that. My go-to local bakery messed up a big birthday cake last month, and it was just a sad, lopsided mess. They were SO sorry and had a fresh one at my door in an hour, no charge. A big box store would have just handed me a gift card and called it a day. That panic in their voice? You don't get that from a corporate help line.

Burned by a trusted source" is a bit harsh for one bad batch. Local suppliers have way more to lose from a mistake than a giant company that just writes off your order. That personal stake usually means better care in the long run.

Yeah, that "personal stake" thing is huge. You see it with the local mechanic who remembers your car's weird noise, or the family restaurant that fixes your order fast when they mess it up. They know if you have a bad time, you'll tell your neighbors. A big chain employee just sees a ticket number, and the company has a budget for unhappy customers. That direct connection changes everything.
