My organic berry habit might not be as eco-friendly as I thought...

I always pick organic fruits thinking they're better for the planet... you know, less chemicals and all. But I read an article last month that said some organic farms use just as much energy and stuff as regular ones. It got me looking at where my food comes from. I noticed my organic berries were flown in from another country, which adds a lot of carbon to the air. So even if the farming is green, the travel isn't. Now I feel tricked by the label. Has anyone else found that 'organic' doesn't always equal sustainable?

Yeah, the "tricked by the label" thing hits hard.

But labels are plain as day if you bother to look. The info is right there on the package, people just skip over it. Acting like it's a trick is an excuse for not paying attention.

Do you ever think about why so many folks just glance at labels? Honestly, it's not just about being lazy. Labels can be packed with tiny text or hidden behind flashy designs. Tbh, companies know we're in a rush and use that to their advantage. But like jana said, if you take a second, the facts are there. It's a mix of bad design and our own habits, not always a trick.

My friend bought a "fruit punch" drink thinking it was juice. The label had huge pictures of strawberries and oranges. Turns out it was mostly sugar water and the real juice percent was in tiny gray print on the side. She felt totally fooled. It's exactly what @jana_sanchez96 said, the facts were there but you really had to look for them. The front was designed to catch your eye in a hurry.
