That fancy concrete curing blanket i bought was a total waste

I dropped $400 on a high-end concrete curing blanket for a slab we poured last month on a job in Denver. Figured it would speed things up and keep the concrete stronger. All it did was trap moisture unevenly and gave us a patchy surface that needed grinding anyway. My old wet burlap method would have worked fine. Anyone else get burned by overselling expensive gear?

Yeah I tried one of those expensive curing compounds a while back and same thing happened. Ended up just going back to keeping it wet with a hose and some old sheets I had lying around. Simple stuff always works better for me.
