Shoutout to my friend who pointed out my fabric choices were all wrong
I was working on a summer dress design for weeks, using this heavy cotton twill I bought in Austin. My friend saw my sketches and just said, 'That looks hot, like literally hot to wear.' It hit me that I kept picking fabrics for how they looked in a swatch, not how they'd feel on a body in real heat. I switched to a light linen blend and the whole design made sense. Has anyone else had a moment where a simple comment flipped a project for you?

Misread the post, that was about fabric not lumber.

Ever try to build a bookshelf with plywood that was way too thin?

Wait, how thin are we talking here?

Was it like that "cardboard but make it wood" challenge or what? @susansingh I swear some people think plywood is just fancy paper. Mine sagged so bad it looked like a sad hammock by the end of the week.
