My guess is half those 40 items are the same few ingredients in different combos, so it looks worse than it is. Your mileage may vary, but I'd bet the core stuff your dad ordered is still sitting right there, maybe even in the same spot. Places off a highway like Route 6 have to give tourists a reason to stop, so the wall grows. Take it with a grain of salt, but I don't see this as some big sign of anything.
